I finally got to try Yakiniq in SF, a KBBQ place that has been on my list for a while! My friend recommended it, even though she went to the one in the South Bay area. Pro Tip: Use the Yelp app to get on their waitlist when you’re heading to the restaurant. We waited around 30-45 minutes on a weekend night for a party of 2 at 6:30 PM. Yakiniq offers two AYCE menu options: basic and premium. We opted for the basic, and the experience was great overall! The quality of the meat was decent, with the marinated beef and pork being particularly flavorful. The staff frequently changed the grill without us having to ask, and our table was never empty. The server kept checking on us to see if we were ready for another round.

Best Korean BBQ I've been to. They are quick in service, and the price is reasonable. If you're quick and can handle the grill, you'll be fine. They will match your pace and then slow back as you slow. One of my absolute favorite things a restaurant can do is set a huge pitcher of water on the table so you can refill at your pace. I'm a water Buffalo, I bring water with me at all times. So when I go into a place that hands me a half gallon of water for the table! BONUS stars for sure! They do seem to expect you to know how it works at a K BBQ, so if it's your first time to one. I would recommend you ask how to work it. Also, they'll adjust the table heat for ya. If you're one of the slower ones that's always smoking the table out, they'll drop that heat for ya. They are very attentive. I've been here twice and love it. Get some lettuce leaves and steamed rice and slam all your grilled meat into the leaf with some rice and fold it like a mad man and smash it in! You'll like the place! Just don't cross contaminate yourself! You won't have anyone to blame but you! Haha

I had an incredible experience at YakiniQ with my friends. The food was delicious and served with the right amount of time between dishes. Everything tasted amazing. The atmosphere was great and I would absolutely go there again.
